Unlike other Bollywood stars who aim and long for Hollywood projects, but keep Mumbai as their base clinging on to Bollywood films, The 24-year-old Slumdog Millionaire actress, Freida Pinto has moved to New York to concentrate on her Hollywood career. Not that her move has been too hasty or unplanned. The gorgeous actress has already been signed by Woody Allen for his next film where she will star alongside Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas. And also, the gal is making her presence felt on the international front dazzling at major events. Recently, she was spotted at the Chanel show in Paris Fashion Week where she outdid her fellow front row occupants supermodels Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer. She was was the centre of attention in a white draped cocktail dress with a black layered chain detail and black stilettos. The Mumbai native, had earlier confessed to getting star struck despite now being a celebrity in her own right, with the stupendous success of her debut film which went on to win eight Academy awards.
Slumdog Millionaire" catapulted her to Hollywood and now actress Freida Pinto is in the league of actresses vying to be the new Bond girl. Freida was invited to a screen test for the next spy adventure, reports thesun.co.uk. The 24-year-old actress was apparently first spotted by producers during the casting for "Quantum of Solace" - the 22nd Bond film released last year. "Freida came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting 'Quantum of Solace'. She was too young at the time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent. But she has blossomed into an incredibly stunning young woman and would look perfect on Daniel Craig's arm," a source said. The chances of the actress' participation in the film seem strong as executive producer of the film Barbara Broccoli is eager to cast her. "Danny Boyle is favourite to take the helm of the next movie which would increase Freida's chances of a starring role," added the source. If Freida is lucky enough to bag the role of a Bond girl, it would be her next international project after the Woody Allen movie that she has been signed up for.
Rising actor Imran Khan, who just won the coveted Best New Actor trophy at the Filmfare Awards, is finally fulfilling his desire to work in theatre. Film actors doing theatre is of course not
new concept, but the play that he will be featured in is quite controversial and will prove to be groundbreaking. You see, Imran will be seen in Eve Ensler's 'Vagina Monologues.' If you haven't already heard of the famous play, I'm pretty sure that title alone caught your attention! Now the play written by Eve Ensler is hitting Mumbai and will be directed by Mahabanoo Mody-
Kotwal.
The 'Vagina Monologues' is a series of monologues read by female actors and the reoccurring theme is using the vagina as a means of female empowerment. Now for the first time in history since the play was first written in 1996, a male actor will be rendering a monologue. Imran Khan will read the piece, 'My Short Skirt' which was also read by Mallika Sherawat a few years back. But don't worry, Imran won't be rocking a mini, since it's pretty ridiculous to have a man read a piece on about female sexual organ, Imran will read the piece while a female actor will act it out on stage.
So how did Imran Khan get involved in the project? Well turns out
his friend Sonali Sachdev who is in the play herself inspired him to be a part of it. Imran hopes with his role in the play that more men will be drawn to the female oriented play. However, the best part of it all has to be the fact that the proceeds will go towards creating awareness towards violence against women and helping those who have been victims of violence. In fact, a young lady named Haseena, a victim of an acid attack in 1999, is expected to attend the play.

Delhi 6 is one of the biggest releases of 2009. As it came from the Rang De Basanti fame, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, expectation is much higher. No sooner the stars of Delhi 6 stepped into the movie theatre, thousand of onlookers heated up the atmosphere of Delhi with their whistling and loud cheer. Delhiites are stuck to see their favorite stars paving their way to PVR Priya. Girls of all ages hauled on looking at Abhishek and threw remarks like “Abhishek I love you", "Abhishek marry me", "Abhishek, you are the best". Women of every age group cheered for Abhi.
Abhishek is awestruck on looking at the enthusiasm of the audience. "It's mind blowing. It's amazing. I love Delhi and the turn out of the people here is fantastic. I hope it remains the same in theatres as well", said Abhishek.
"We are keeping our fingers crossed. Expectations are high," Sonam Kapoor, one of the lead actors, said. Abhishek has been quoted as saying, "I’m nervous with anticipation. I’m so excited. I hope audience love the film. I found a lot of similarities and that''s why I was really keen to do the film." The story of Delhi-6 is placed against the backdrop of the ancient walled city of Delhi. It will hit the theatre today.
A panel discussion at FICCI Frames had an interesting debate titled ‘Cut Copy Paste To Indian Taste’ that was attended by leading Bollywood names such as Dibakar Banerjee, Rohan Sippy, Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan and Mahesh Bhatt.
The buzz is that this almost became a wrestling match.
Seasoned writer-director Mahesh Bhatt without any remorse made a confession,
He apparently said, “I’m a thief, every word or phrase that I use has been lifted or sourced from some other place. I want to make a living what is your problem.”

Aishwarya Rai as India's most bankable star in Hollywood, pushing down the Khans of Bollywood in the ratings of the best bet for a film's financial success. Aishwarya is among six Bollywood actors in the new Forbes list of Hollywood's Most Valuable Actors. Other Indians on the list compiled by the American business magazine are Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Irfan Khan and Hrithik Roshan. Although at 387th position in the global list of as many as 1,411 actors from across the world, Aishwarya is ranked highest among all Indian actors and is the only female actor from the country who made it to this elite club. The list also includes Indian American actor Kal Penn, whose films include "The Namesake". At 476th position, he is ranked higher than all the Bollywood actors, except Aishwarya Rai, who stars in the new Hollywood venture "The Pink Panther 2". Among the male Bollywood actors, Aamir is ranked highest at 540th in the global list, followed by Shah Rukh (735), Salman (753), Irrfan (825) and Hrithik (1,059). The global list, topped by Hollywood actor Will Smith, is based on the bankability of actors around the world as voted by members of the global entertainment industry, Forbes said. Smith is the only actor to get a ten-on-ten score and is followed by four Hollywood stars - Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie - sharing the second position. 
"Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto, who recently broke up with her boyfriend of four years Rohan Antao, may have secretly married her ex two years back. The Indian actress was said to have called off her engagement to Rohan Jan 15, but Britain's Daily Telegraph says that the couple clandestinely wed in Goa in 2007 deciding to keep the marriage under wraps to give Freida a greater chance of winning film roles.
"Freida and Rohan fell in love at college and were extremely close. They were great together. The marriage was an impulsive decision and both of them went to a designer to get the gown made," a source close to the couple was quoted as saying by contactmusic.com.
The source added: "Rohan was with her throughout her years as an actress when she was not at all famous. He supported her during the filming of 'Slumdog?' and the pair even celebrated the film's success at the Toronto Film Festival together last year."

By wining the title, they defeated last year winners, R Madhavan, model and Doctor Aditi Gowitrikar, Pentagram vocalist Vishal Dadlani, singer Kailash Kher and many others. Kareena is already a winner of many titles and with this award; she had added one more feather on her hat. This is the second time that Bebo is honored with this sexiest vegetarian title. While for Sreesanth it's an altogether new recognition. He has beaten out his fellow vegetarian cricket stars like Ishant Sharma and Anil Kumble to earn the title of sexiest male. ''When you look at the dozens of gorgeous celebrities in this year's poll, there are no bones about it - a vegetarian diet makes you beautiful inside and out'', says PETA India's Anuradha Sawhney. Shilpa who joined the IPL league after Preity Zinta is set to make a super rich music video to promote her cricket team. The sizzling music video will have an evocative Rajasthani-folk number entitled ‘Halla Bol’ composed by Anand Raj Anand. Interestingly it will be choreographed by Ken Ghosh who stopped doing music videos after turning feature filmmaker. Shilpa says, “I’m so glad Ken is making an exception for me. We chose Anand Raj Anand because he’s an expert at catchy folk songs. I first worked in a film with his music when he scored for Pardesi Babu. I was simply bowled over by the numbers. Today when I hear the song he has composed for our team I feel deeply enthused.” Shilpa’s beau and co-partner Raj Kundra is mighty excited by Anand Raj Anand’s Rajasthani song and have apparently decided to shell out a mini fortune close to Rs. 1 crore, to shoot the song featuring Shilpa. The inside buzz is that the video would be better than anything that she has done. The word is that close to a total amount of Rs. 3 crores is expected to be spent. The source has said, “From ‘UP Bihar Lootne’ to ‘Shut Up And Bounce’…Shilpa’s item songs have always been special. She wants her IPL music video to be her best item song ever. She’s working on the costumes, accessories everything in advance so that when they shoot the video in March she’ll sizzle like never before.” However Shilpa refused to reveal any figures and simply said that they could all see the effect in the video.
