Freida Pinto Signs a Deal with Estee Lauder

'Slumdog Millionaire' starlet Freida Pinto's star just keeps on rising

! She's gained international recognition for her first ever role in the Oscar winning 'Slumdog,' signed onto to co-star in a W

oody Allen film, walked the ramp at Milan fashion week, hob knobbed with tons of a-list celebrities, and now she's making waves in the make-up industry. The former model has signed onto become the new face of cosmetics giant, Estee Lauder! Pretty big news, as her face will be seen in magazine adverts, television commercials and so on, giving her tons more exposure.


According to reports, the deal is worth $350,000 dollars and confirms the fact that Freida's become a hot property. Freida joins the likes of Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow, who are both spokespersons for the make-up company. Plus Freida becomes the company's first ever Indian spokesperson! How exciting! Just goes to show how this whole east meets west collaboration keeps growing. If you ask us, it's about time Desis are shown in a more international light in the entertainment industry!

Freida joins Aishwarya Rai, who is a spokesperson for L'Oreal on an international scale, as another Indian face for cosmetics. It'll be nice to have an Indian woman representing a make-up company

when many Desi girls have often complained about a lack of cosmetics made especially for South Asian skin types. Maybe this will help lead to makeup companies paying more attention to that fact.

ow in Italy! Why is this relevant to Scarlett? Well, she's currently the face of the brands main marketing ads. Some gossip sites are saying that Scarlett is jealous of Freida Pinto and afraid that Freida has become Woody Allen's new muse and also sees her as a threat when it comes to the D&G brand. Okay then!

The rumors might not have much clout as Scarlett Johansson was actually at the award show and watched on as Miss Pinto strutted her stuff on the runway in Milan!

Okay, so some might argue that she was there to check out her competition, but let's not forget Scarlett Johansson is still the face of D&G.
Scarlett was also joined by fellow American actress Kate Hudson. Hmmm.... Sounds like Freida Pinto's hanging out with more and more of Hollywood's hottest stars! There's also no denying Freida looked beautiful in a short satiny dress as she walked the ramp.

Angelina Jolie advices Freida Pinto

The latest Indian face on international arena, Freida Pinto recently met Hollywood glam doll Angelina Jolie and the latter had some good advice for our pretty Pinto.
Talking in an interview about her meeting with Angelina Jolie, Freida says, “I didn’t’ say much. I was just like staring in awe for a bit. “She was really wonderful to talk to and very supportive of newcomers. She was just like, ‘Embrace it. Enjoy it and keep it real. Don’t get affected by all this. Enjoy every moment.’”

Now that’s some really great advice for our young Pinto!!!
