Hulk Hogan Memoir–Hulk Hogan Tell-All Book (Excerpt)

Just in case you didn’t get enough of window into The Wonderful World of Hogan on their VH1 reality series, wrestling legend Terry Bollea, perhaps best known as Hulk Hogan, has inked a six-figure deal with St. Martin’s Press to pen an account of his life.

According to veteran celebrity snitch Cindy Adams, the 320 page memoir–with a 16-page color photo insert–will cover The Hulk’s humble beginnings as a boy growing up in Tampa, his two-decade marriage to Lina Bollea, and of course, his career as a 12-time World Heavyweight Champ and six-time World Wrestling Federation Champ.

Perhaps most notably, Hulk will discuss his son Nick’s near-fatal car crash that left a young Marine brain-dead. The Hogan’s conduct in the wake of the crash left the family open to public scorn.

Matt Hardy Lays Into Jeff Hardy on His Blog

Posted by: shilpz in , , , , , ,

Matt Hardy has posted a blog talking about why he didn’t interfere with Jeff Hardy’s involvement in last night’s Elimination Chamber Match. Hardy wrote: “At No Way Out in Seattle, I gave you the opportunity to win the WWE Title inside of the Elimination Chamber. I listened very closely to what you had to say on Smackdown last week. You said you were going to “move on” and win the WWE Title regardless of what I wanted. You also mentioned that you hoped this issue between us will one day pass over.

So from the bottom of my heart, I didn’t interfere with your Elimination Chamber appearance and/or match. Nor did I need to.. You failed like you always do. I wanted to reinforce to everyone what a failure you truly are-how you can never pull through and succeed in a “big time” atmosphere. How you always choke. It’s nothing new though.”

Hardy added: “I’m afraid the WWE is not big enough for the both of us. I recommend you do the smartest thing possible for your life and livelihood right now. And that’s walk out of the WWE and my life. You have until Friday to make your decision.”

Backstage Update on This Past Weekend's Elimination Chamber Matches

WWE officials worked hard this past weekend to make sure the fact that Edge was going to be working both Elimination Chamber matches and winning the World Heavyweight Title didn’t leak to the internet. Vince McMahon was furious that word got out that Christian Cage was supposed to play the role of the guy who attacked Jeff Hardy all those times, which led to Matt Hardy getting Christian’s spot on SmackDown.

To make sure nobody on the WWE crew knew what was going to happen, they put a huge tarp over the Elimination Chamber on Sunday afternoon so nobody else in the building could see the WWE Superstars in the ring planning out the matches.

Matt Hardy Talks about His ECW Departure

Posted by: shilpz in , , , ,

The following announcement is posted on Matt’s WWE Universe blog:

As you all should know by now, I demanded to be released from ECW by General Manager Theodore Long last week. I had decided to jump to Smackdown to deal with my issues with Jeff Hardy. In an idiotic decision, Theodore Long granted me my request. Although I wanted out, I honestly couldn’t believe he let me go they easy. I thought I was gonna have to put up a fight to get out of my ECW contract. But no, I was allowed to leave the brand at the mere mention of “I want my contractual release.”

This incident reinforces how bad of a G.M. Teddy Long is. I was the ECW Heavyweight Champion for nearly 5 months and I carried his company on my back. I was undoubtedly the greatest WWE ECW Champion there has been. I made the Sci-Fi program of ECW a must-see event if I was on it. The show will be severely damaged without my presence. Teddy Long made a terrible business decision-no if, ands, or buts about it. Teddy Long may have actually made a good personal decision though. If he had reservations about granting me my release, he may have found a “Black Cloud” over his life. Maybe he learned from Jeff Hardy’s mistakes.

I led several of Theodore Long’s ECW roster members to the best matches of their careers. Mark Henry, John Morrison, The Miz, Evan Bourne, Fit Finlay, and Jack Swagger all had one common denominator in their best ever ECW performances-Matt Hardy. I made all these guys into bigger stars than they were before wrestling me. That’s what I do, I make people stars. I get more out of human beings than they’ve ever known their capable of. I’ve done it my entire career. I’ve done it with Jeff Hardy, Lita, Shannon Moore, Joey Abs, Joey Mercury, Shane Helms, and even Edge. Edge didn’t become the superstar he is today until I created the “Rated R Superstar”-through our personal issues. Whether you want to accept it or not, it is the absolute truth-I am “The Starmaker” Matt Hardy.

I will be on the February 6th episode of Friday Night Smackdown. I understand that “Hurricane” Helms will voice his opinion on my situation with Jeff Hardy on Smackdown. I’ll be watching and listening close Shane. I predict your comments will predict your immediate forecast for the future.
