actress Kareena Kapoor is not vying for the crown of Bollywood queen despite her hit performances and high profile brand endorsements because she feels that kings and queens only exist in a pack of playing cards. "I think kings and queens are in cards, not in Bollywood," Kareena told reporters at an event here Saturday.

On being asked her opinion about Katrina Kaif as an actress, Kareena bluntly said: "I don't talk about other actresses in press conferences."

Kareena was present in the capital to promote a new initiative by hair removal cream brand Anne French.

She is looking forward to the release of a number of films in her kitty including Rajkumar Hirani's "Three Idiots" and Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kambakkht Ishq".

In "Three Idiots", she stars opposite Aamir Khan. In "Kambakkht Ishq", she will be sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar for the seventh time.

About working with the two actors, Kareena said: "I pick up the best from whoever I work with. When you are working with someone, you kind of get tuned to the way that actor is working. I would like to pick up all the best qualities from both these people."

The actress also spoke about her experience of working with Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh in "Kambakkht Ishq" and said it was "an honour".

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will be honoured by the Rotary Club for being the youngest achiever of the film industry. She will be given the Vocational Excellence Award by Bansi Dhurandhar Feb 1 here at the Grand Hyatt, Santacruz. "It's a privilege that Kareena will be given this award. She feels great that she is being recognized for the work that she has done in the film industry," said a source close to the actress. This is the second award Kareena will be getting this year.

She is also going to be awarded the India Today Woman Award 2009 for her contribution to the world of art and cinema by American legal clerk and environmental activist Erin Brockovich.

Kareena Kapoor has had broken friendships and many squabbles with people in the course of her 9 years in Bollywood. Blame it on her ‘I don’t care for anybody attitude’ or just circumstances. It happened with Bipasha and her once upon a time good friends Rani and Esha Deol (though she still has to make up with them) and some others.

The latest to join the list is bad boy Salman Khan. The buzz is that the twosome shared a great rapport during the making of ‘Kyon Ki’. Though the film didn’t fare so well at the box office, their friendship remained intact. But it went sour by and by because of Bebo’s ex beau Shahid. There were major differences between Shahid and Salman, during the 2006 Rock Stars concert. Bebo had to either side with Shahid or Salman and she obviously had to be with her boyfriend. But since now she has been openly dating Saif Ali Khan for more than a year, many thought that things between she and Salman would also improve. But it wasn’t all that easy. While starting to shoot for ‘Main Aur Mrs. Khanna’ the vibes between the two were not so warm.

So uncomfortable were they that they would head to their vans once the scene was over. When it came to discussing a scene, the director would have to individually sit down with them and discuss the setting. But the chemistry on screen is pretty sizzling, it’s been said. But one fine day Bebo decided to break the ice. When an intricate scene was to be shot, she decided to walk up to Salman and asked him to discuss the scene with him.

Though proud man Sallu bhai was taken aback, he cooperated. It’s been said that Saif Ali Khan helped to ease tensions too. They were seen laughing and giggling. Sister Karisma was present too and was happy for them as she’s been friends with Salman for years too. So if all goes well, the positive effects of this dramatic make up will be visible on the screen in ‘Main aur Mrs. Khanna’! Wait and watch.

Not too long ago when Kareena was dating Shahid, some misunderstandings between Shahid Kapoor and Salman Khan lead to sour ties between Sallu and Bebo. But the Shahid episode is over and now Salman and Kareena are doing a film together titled Main aur Mrs. Khanna but still they shared icy vibes.

A source reveals,”When they started shooting for Main Aur Mrs Khanna, Kareena and Salman only behaved like professionals. Anybody who saw them share icy vibes would never have been able to tell that the two were thick friends once upon a time. Even as their onscreen chemistry sizzled in Main Aur Mrs Khanna, they refused to interact off-screen.
In fact, things were so bad that director Prem Soni would have to discuss scenes separately with both the stars. But during the Panchgani schedule, Kareena and Salman hit it off instantly.”


However Kareena took an initiative to settle things between her and Sallu, “There was a sensitive scene that required a lengthy discussion. Ideally it was Prem Soni who would have discussed the scene separately with both of them. But this time, things were different. Kareena suddenly walked up to Salman and began chatting about the intricacies of the scene with him. Initially, Salman was taken by surprise but gradually he was amused by what Kareena was saying.


Then suddenly, they started laughing out loud. Saif’s presence further eased things as Saif and Salman share an excellent rapport. A delighted Prem Soni then started discussing the scenes with Kareena and Salman together. It was an emotional reunion especially because Kareena’s sister Karisma too is a close friend of Salman.”
The source adds,”Despite a cold war with Salman, Kareena had agreed to play the lead in Main Aur Mrs Khanna because she liked the script. But Kareena is happy to bond with Salman once again.”
