Delhi 6 is one of the biggest releases of 2009. As it came from the Rang De Basanti fame, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, expectation is much higher. No sooner the stars of Delhi 6 stepped into the movie theatre, thousand of onlookers heated up the atmosphere of Delhi with their whistling and loud cheer. Delhiites are stuck to see their favorite stars paving their way to PVR Priya. Girls of all ages hauled on looking at Abhishek and threw remarks like “Abhishek I love you", "Abhishek marry me", "Abhishek, you are the best". Women of every age group cheered for Abhi.

Abhishek is awestruck on looking at the enthusiasm of the audience. "It's mind blowing. It's amazing. I love Delhi and the turn out of the people here is fantastic. I hope it remains the same in theatres as well", said Abhishek.

"We are keeping our fingers crossed. Expectations are high," Sonam Kapoor, one of the lead actors, said. Abhishek has been quoted as saying, "I’m nervous with anticipation. I’m so excited. I hope audience love the film. I found a lot of similarities and that''s why I was really keen to do the film." The story of Delhi-6 is placed against the backdrop of the ancient walled city of Delhi. It will hit the theatre today.

Abhishek Bachchan is supposedly married to the woman considered the most beautiful woman in the world. However its not what Abhishek thinks. His idea of beauty is what is epitomised by someone much older than he. Yes he thinks Waheeda Rehman is the most beautiful woman on the Earth.

“I’ve worked with Waheeda aunty before in Om Jai Jagdish. It was a sheer honour to work with her again. She is the most dignified and beautiful lady on Earth.

She’s such a wonderful person to be on the sets with. She has this aura about her which lights up everyone’s life and I can’t be more privileged that I have already done two films with her.

Actors go through their entire career not having an opportunity to work with her because she doesn’t do lot of work. I was very excited that she had agreed to do Delhi 6.”

Being very talented and beautiful makes her one of the most envied actresses in filmdom.

Ash has even left behind hubby Abhi too.

And though he’s very supportive of her, he’s also a little bit jealous.

And most of it is because of the attention she’s getting from her co-star of Pink Panther 2, Steve Martin.

Abhishek remarks, “We were at the premiere of ‘Pink Panther 2′ and it was great fun. It’s a hilarious film. Steve Martin is a genius. I am very jealous of Ash. He is someone I have been idolising when I was growing up. And Ash gets the opportunity to work with the likes of Steve Martin and Jeremy Irons.”

But he’s looking forward to his films with wifey and hoping that the great personal and professional chemistry continues for a long, long time

Abhishek who made his entry into Bollywood with a debacle like Refugee was until few years ago known as Amitabh Bachchan’s son. But his wonderful performance in Guru earned him lot of good reviews and now Abhishek has his own foothold in the industry.

Abhishek last flick Dostana was a runaway success and now he is awaiting Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra’s flick Delhi 6’s release.

Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi6 is all set to release in February. Director Mehra released it’s music on the sets of a reality show. But while everyone including Sonam to director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and others participated enthusiastically, lead actor Abhishek was nowhere in the promotion.When asked about the Abhishek Bachchan, Rakeysh informed us that Abhi was busy shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ravana somewhere far off, with wifey Aishwarya Rai. Interestingly both Ash and Abhishek were very much in town to grace another event that happened in the same evening. It is believed that and promotion that has given more importance to Sonam. , It seems that Abhishek is not so pleased by the promos as Sonam is getting lot of attention from the promoters thus AB baby has taken the backseat. When we asked Sonam about Abhishek she said, “I liked working with Abhishek. He is really a kool guy. He is fun to work with. We all had fun on the set. We both are foodie.”
