The Oscar nominations will be announced bright and early 5:30am (PST) on January 22nd. In anticipation of that day when actors, directors and producers find out whether all their hard work (and campaigning) paid off with an Oscar nod, I've put together my predictions for who will find themselves on the short list of nominees come Thursday morning. Using a method that involves some real research, educated guessing, and even some wishful thinking, I'm putting forth my list in three of the top categories. Keep in mind these aren't who I personally would want to see make the final cut, but who I believe Academy members have supported with their votes:
